Dreaming Spanish Review 2024: Best Videos to Learn Spanish
Did you know Spanish is the official language of 22 different countries? No? Well, this is nothing; there are many other interesting facts about the language. I think these reasons attracted me to learn the language. This is the first language I have ever learned. However, there were not many platforms designed to teach it only. But at present, many platforms are focusing on teaching it only. One such platform that I heard about was Dreaming Spanish. Though it only focuses on teaching Spanish, the question remains: is it the best option? Let us see in the Dreaming Spanish review below.
Short Summary
Dreaming Spanish is a platform for all the spanish learners. It is the one taht have hub of videos teaching Spanish. There are more than 3000 videos on the platform and the platform has four different sections on it. You can search for the videos on the basis of the level you are at or the country you want to travel. To unlock the whole series a subscription is required, which is only of $8.
What is Dreaming Spanish?
Dreaming Spanish is a platform that teaches Spanish with the help of different skills. It is a video-based platform that uses Spanish from the first class. There are over 3000 videos, which are further divided into various categories. Every day, three new videos are on each level. The categories are divided into 4 different categories-
Serial No. | Learner level |
1 | Absolute Beginner Learner (Level 1) |
2 | Beginner Learner (Level 2) |

4 | Advanced learner (Levels 5, 6, and 7) |
Pricing of Dreaming Spanish
As I already mentioned, the videos of some series are free to use. But to unlock all the content, you must get the subscription plan. The price of the plan is $8 only. It gives access to all the 300 videos and some other options. Below I have added the additional features that I got with the subscription plan-
- Download the videos to watch them offline later
- Addition of 3 videos for each level daily
- Get the premium podcast feed on their apps
Hack: Although, the prices are nominal if you still do not want to pay for it, check the creator’s name and find it on the YouTube channel. This is what I tried and works pretty well. It will take some time to get the series but can save some money for you.
Dreaming Spanish Review: Is it worthy?
Honestly, I felt that the platform works like YouTube but in a more organized manner. These sections make it easy to filter what series we have in a particular section. After that, there were some additional tools that I could use to search videos more specifically. There was a separate tab to look at my progress. It helped me check the number of lessons I have completed and the number of hours I have viewed the videos. However, to unlock the content, I had to get the subscription plan.
So, now you may be wondering if the subscription plan is worth it. To check it, I took the subscription plan too. I would say, spending $8 and getting so much content is definitely worth it. Let me show why. Suppose you were using only YouTube to learn it, of course, there will be many free videos on it. But can you decide which one is best? You will have to check multiple videos.
On the other hand, Dreaming Spanish makes the job easier. It will filter the videos and the creator’s best for learning the language with the option to download it. Thus, taking the subscription plan is worth it. Below I have mentioned the things that I liked and disliked about the platform-
Pros | Cons |
There are multiple videos on the platform. | No practice for speaking and conversation in the beginning. |
You can search for videos based on different tools like creators, country, etc. | There is no app for it. |
Three new videos are uploaded each day in every category.
Beginner videos are engaging.
Not very cost. |
Though I have discussed whether you should use it or not, it is important to look at the course structure of it. Thus, further, I have given a detailed guide on how the course is created.
The course overview of Dreaming Spanish
Though I have already learned the language, to give the right review of it, I had to use it. When I joined the platform, I saw the whole course was full of videos. There are videos from different YouTube channels. As I mentioned there are four different categories, each of which has a series of videos in it. However, to unlock the whole series, you must get the subscription plan.
The platform believes that to learn the language properly, you should get immersed in the content. There is no Rocket science in using the platform. Just watch the videos. There are no questions, exercises, etc on the platform. There is no speaking and conversational practice till I complete 300 videos on it. In level 3, there are grammatical explanations also.
Tools to filter the videos
Below are some of the tools that you can use to filter the videos used-
- Level: It allowed me to select the level I wanted. As I have already learned, I directly took choose Advanced level.

Dreaming Spanish alternatives
Though there are many apps that you can use to learn Spanish, I am sharing some of the apps that you can use instead of Dreaming Spanish.
1. BaseLang (Live Spanish Practice)`
Baselang is all about learning Spanish with the help of live tutors. This platform is different from other live teaching platforms. In most of the other platforms, multiple subjects are taught. But in the case of this platform, it is only Spanish language. However, the platform does not have a free version of it. You must get the subscription plan. However, there is a money-back guarantee option with it.
2. Tandem (Free language exchange program)
Tandem is a platform that is free to use with a limited number of translations. It connected me with the native speakers living in other countries. This tool is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to practice the Spanish language.
3. Duolingo (Follow gamified approach)
Duolingo is one such platform that follows a gamified approach to teaching the language. There are multiple exercises to teach you the language. Each exercise is like you are playing a game. You take part in get some exciting rewards for it. This platform is very engaging. Every time I miss a lesson, there is Duo (the owl) prompting on my screen to remind me of it.
4. Jiveworld (Podcast based platform)
I think it becomes easy to learn the language when we start using the podcast. It gives us the right pronunciation of the words and phrases. Jiveworld is an app created by the famous podcast team “Radio Ambulante”. The app includes all the episodes from this podcast to improve your listening skills. In each lesson, there are chunks of particular podcasts. The lines of each podcast have some new vocabulary added to it. You can get the meaning of those words as you go along with the sentence.
Conclusion
Dreaming Spanish is an app that brings the important Spanish videos all together in a single place. The platform divides the videos into four different categories, starting from absolute beginners to advanced-level learners. It gives me the ability to filter my search through different features like levels, names of creators, countries, etc. There are more than 3,000 videos, all to learn Spanish. I really enjoyed the platform as I didn’t have to search separately for the Spanish videos. However, to access all the series fully, a subscription is required.
