Most language learners don’t know the perfect way of getting it. Even when I started, I also had no clue about it. But as I started learning languages often, I found the best way to improve pronunciation, i.e., by listening to podcasts. In fact, this was one of the best ways of improving my Swedish pronunciation.

Thus, you can choose any of the episodes of your choice.
2. Coffee Break Swedish

Coffee Break podcasts are available on Coffee Break Academy, a part of Radio Lingua company. This is one such podcast that has been a part of my journey for other languages too. I have used it to learn Chinese, Japanese, etc. The introduction starts in English and after that, each episode is in Swedish language. In it, the host guides you till the end.
The process is simple. But why the name coffee break? The main idea behind this podcast is to listen to it when you are on a break. If you are a professional, listen to them in the tea break. Each episode is of 20-30 minutes. The podcast is more like you are chatting with another person. In short, it’s the best way to correct the pronunciation.

When I started my journey, this podcast was there with me. It gave me several common words and phrases that were very useful. If you already know the basics, there is no fun in using it. This is because the podcast does not teach the language but rather important phrases and words.

Have you checked the pod series yet? If not, do give it a try. This series provides multiple languages to learn. Each episode is short and has different things to learn. I have not only used it for Swedish but also for Korean, Russian, etc. There is a lot of cultural and linguistic information on it. The episodes are regularly updated on the platform. However, it is recommended to start from the starting episodes. This will eventually help you to start from the beginner level. This website is not just a podcast website. In addition to that, there is a lot of other content available. However, it is only for the subscription owners.
5. Say It In Swedish

It is narrated by a single host that uses English as well as Swedish. The podcast is in Swedish but the explanations are in English. Most of the lessons are intended for beginner to intermediate learners. However, some of the episodes are more tough than that level. Even, some episodes are based on slow spoken. These podcasts are easy to follow. But the sad part is, that the podcast is not updated longer.

Listening News was never my thing until I listened to this podcast. Mark my words, this will change your idea of listening to the news. I think it is because the main focus is on the newcomers and immigrants. Why do we learn a new language? Mostly because we are planning to travel. This podcast revolves around such people which made me love it. There are real stories that are related to the immigrants. In one of the episodes, I learned what the application process for a person moving to Sweden from India looks like. Don’t miss this podcast, especially if you are planning to move here permanently.
7. Easy Swedish With Viktoria

It is a perfect podcast for anyone who knows the spoken Swedish. The episodes are in Swedish but in some of them, the disclaimers are in English. In the beginning, it will grasp your attention by providing signature melody. Mostly the episodes are created keeping intermediate learners in mind. However, some episodes are at an advanced level. In such a case, the disclaimer is in English. In each episode, there is a person from her friends or family. It’s like a chit-chat show, where I enjoyed listening to their fun experiences.

I always believe learning a language is incomplete without knowing its cultural aspect. Thus, I was looking for a podcast that would help me in doing it. Eventually, Swedishness was the one that helped me to learn everything in it. There are three hosts, discussing more on daily Swedish lifestyle, politics, and industry.

It has 50,000 listeners per week, making it the second most-listening Swedish podcast.
10. Morgonstund – En Kopp Svenska

The host of this podcast is Joakim. It is spoken in the easier Swedish language which is spoken slowly and clearly. This podcast is amazing as it has a lot of fun and engaging content. Each podcast has some linguistic questions in it. They are 5-20 minutes long, making it a perfect thing to listen to while eating or getting ready. The title of it also discusses which level it is. Though the podcasts are free to hear, there are paid material on it. This material includes transcripts and other word lists.
11. Geniförklarat
Meaning: The word is a combination of Genuis and Explained)
The translation itself shows how interesting and intellectual topics are covered. Science is a niche that I always love to know about. It’s all about knowing interesting facts. But this podcast not only talks about it but many more important topics like society, nudity, etc. Each episode is hosted by two different people. They may be comedians, scientists, etc., depending upon the theme of the podcast, In fact, one of the podcasts talks about having good sex whereas other podcasts were about death and life.

Traveling to Sweden for work or study? Make sure to learn Swedish first. My Swedish Område is a podcast hosted by a student living in Sweden. The story revolves around the experience the students have living there. It talks about immigrants, students over there, etc.

Another news podcast in Swedish. Wondering why another news channel is on this list? It’s because they help stay updated on what is going around. The podcast is all about world events, sports, stories, etc. There are a lot of stories about sports, events, comedy, etc. This is like all niches covered under a single place. I saw most of the things covered, were part of my daily news provider.
14. Språket

Remember: This podcast is for native Swedes, which means this is for advanced learners.
The podcast, hosted by Emmy Rasper, features new guests in each episode, focusing on a different niche. The guests are the experts on the topics that are discussed on it. There is very little information about the language but more related to the myths and fun facts about it. As they are developed keeping the native speakers in mind, there is no space for beginners. When I was at my advanced level, this podcast helped me to stay engaged.
15. Sweasy
Sweasy is a podcast hosted by a Swedish teacher that aims to teach in a fun and engaging manner. It teaches the basics of the language more easily and in a fun manner. The podcast was introduced back in 2021, with the first episode being about how to use the podcast. After that, there are different topics covered on it. Starting from how to use I in different scenarios. Some of the topics available in this podcast are-

This was a newspaper established in 1984 and was an easy-to-read newspaper. However, recently they have launched a podcast where they have added the news that we can listen to. The episodes are published every weekday and are of 5-10 minutes each. However, the content is only for intermediate and advanced learners. The pace is slow but might be difficult to understand.
