Podcasts in Tagalog

I have used different podcasts to learn multiple languages. But it was hard for me to help her learn Tagalog. It was because I had never learned it before. Fortunately, one of my friends has learned it. I took his help and found the best podcast that helped him understand it. They also helped my nephew a lot. Therefore, I am sharing those podcasts with you to make your journey easier-

1. FilipinoPod101 (Beginners level)

(Available: Apple, Youtube, Spotify, Offical Website, Podbean, Podchaser, Soundcloud)

As a beginner, if I had to choose a podcast to learn a language, it would be languagepod101. If you ask me what will be the best Japanese or German podcast, I would always suggest a language pod series. FilipinoPod101 is the part of this series only. The podcasts are designed to teach the language from starting. I always suggest this platform because it has a podcast and a fully created course on it. However, to use them you have to pay a subscription plan. Even if you are not interested in taking the subscription, many three features are available on it.

2. God’s Word For Today (Intermediate to Advanced level)

(Available: Apple, Spotify)

This is a religious-based podcast hosted by Gospel, Light Filipino. The name itself suggests that the podcast is more about connecting the audience to the god. Gospel started his journey in 2020, and, since then, he has been uploading the episodes each day. It covers different aspects of faith with the people. Some episodes cover how to connect with the god and others show the love of the god towards the people. Though the podcasts can have different topics to cover, the main aim is to connect you with the god.

3. Go Filipino: Let’s Learn Tagalog (Beginners level)

(Available: Apple, Youtube, Spotify, Podchaser, Soundcloud)

The podcast started with Journey in 2019 and is no longer active. Despite not being an active podcast, there are still no episodes that can help you learn the basics of the language properly. One thing that I consider the best part is the teaching of grammatical concepts to the listeners. There are specific episodes that are created. This podcast is created with the help of the teachers teaching this language. There are also some exercises at the end of the episodes.  They will help improve your speaking skills, helping you to communicate with the native speakers.

4. Remembering the Tagalog (Beginners level)

(Available: Apple, Youtube, Spotify, Podbean, Podchaser)

One of the biggest reasons why we fail to learn a language is the wrong choice of resources. There are many resources on the internet. But for me, the best language resource is the one that makes learning fun. If you’re seeking a fun resource, look no further—this is exactly what you need. Each episode of the podcast focuses on the words and phrases and the related sounds and mnemonic devices. The host usually invites different guests and has a casual chit-chat show making the words and phrases simple and easy to remember.
