How to Reach Duolingo Diamond League in Just 15 Minutes a Day

Which Duolingo lover does not want to reach the Diamond League? I think everyone desires to get there. But is it easy? Of course not. It was also my dream to reach it at least once. Eventually, I did, but it took several efforts of mine. If you are on this page, surely you also want to enter it but don’t know how. Stop stressing about it. Here, I will discuss the tricks I used to reach the Duolingo Diamond League.

What is Duolingo Diamond League?

When I started using Duolingo to learn a new language, I saw weekly competitions as Duolingo leagues. There are 10 leagues in each language and the Duolingo Diamond League is the tenth and final league for the course. The other nine leagues in Duolingo are-

• Bronze
• Silver
• Gold
• Sapphire
• Ruby
• Emerald
• Amethyst
• Pearl
• Obsidian

I started with a random league where 30 users took part and fought against each other. Depending on how I finished my league, I moved on to the next league. It was based on the position I was in, and the requirement for the next league. So if you are in the top 15, 10, or 5, I could go to the next league based on how I finished my league.

Remember: Once in the Duolingo Diamond League, you can not return to any league as it is the final league. As it is the final stage you must try to come at first position as you will not be going to the second one. However remember if you fall in the lowest three positions, you will be demoted from the diamond league. You may receive a lot of awards for winning the league like Chests.

How to enter the Duolingo Diamond League?

The only thing important in any league is the number of XP you have earned. Thus, to enter the high league, you must gain as much XP as you can. As there are a lot of users on Duolingo, it starts a new league every week and thus there will be a lot of other leagues going on. So even if you are in the top 10 positions, you must still work hard as more than 2000 people are fighting for this position. There are no fixed criteria on how to win the challenge.

There are a lot of people who have won with less XP like 2000. On the other hand, people who have 6000 XP are still struggling to win. It all depends upon the language, its popularity, etc. Thus, to enter the league, try to collect your XP points.

How to Reach the Duolingo Diamond League?

Of course, reaching the Duolingo Diamond League is tough, but with some tricks, you can reach it easily. Here, are the tips I used to reach the Duolingo Diamond League in a short time-

1. Using Match Madness

There are a lot of timed challenges on this platform including Match madness. In this challenge, you must match the words with their meaning in a certain period. You must think why is it over here? See, if you are a super member, you can spend your gems on legendary levels. But what if you are not? Will you use them for the legendary level? Of course, no. I mean 100 gems for just a legendary level is too much. To save the amount of gems, you must take Match Madness. There are only 10 Gems required to take part in it.

Update: With the recent updates, you need to give 30 gems for a single level. It means you must try to look at different levels.

2. Start in a later week

When you use Duolingo, you must think of taking up the challenge the later week like from Wednesday. Why? The only reason I prefer doing it is that the people in it are more lazy. On the other hand, if you start on Monday, some users will work hard to stay in the league. They will take Duolingo so seriously that they may earn 10000 XP in a week.

As Duolingo keeps bringing new leagues each week, you will be with the users who joined lately. It will give you a chance to get a higher score than them, and thus it will increase your chances to get easily into the Duolingo Diamond League.

3. Fix your mistakes

When you make a mistake it makes you lose a heart. As the mistakes you make are silly you must try to correct them. Thinking why? Of course, correcting them helps to learn the language more. But how does it help you reach the diamond league? When you go back on your mistakes and correct them, you earn some of the XP points. For every 10 mistakes, you will get 20 XP.

4. Duolingo stories

Looking for something interesting to get extra XP? If yes, Duolingo stories are what you should look for. Duolingo stories are another feature that will help you to focus on your communication, and writing skills. I always look for it, when I am not ready to complete a lesson.

Earlier it also helps you boost speaking skills but with time, it only helps to focus on reading and writing skills. However, the disadvantage of Duolingo stories is that you get too low XP at starting. But gradually when you go up, the level of Duolingo stories will become harder giving you more XP. For example, when you reach level 14 you will earn 28XP for a huge single story.

5. Increase your Daily XP goal

Undoubtedly, you must keep your Daily XP goal low when you are just starting with the language. It is because you do not have much hold on your language. But with time you will start gaining experience with the language you are learning. In such a situation you must increase your daily XP goal. When you achieve it, you can earn more XP for yourself. You will be getting a bonus of 24 XP when you break your XP goal.

Further, you will get the additional 40XP if you break a daily goal, if you set it too high. Do not set a goal that is not achievable. Make sure that you add up a goal that is achievable by you and that you do not miss it. If you do not meet it, you may start losing your streak score which you can always freeze with the help of streak freeze. Thus, try to increase your Daily XP score to earn more XP in less time.

6. Using XP boost

Finally, the most common one: is the XP boost. As the name suggests, using the XP boost will help you a lot to increase your XP points. XP boosts work for 15 minutes in which you can double your XP score. Thus, ensure you take easy lessons when you have used the XP boosts. It will help you to earn double XP points. It would be even better if you got a perfect lesson bonus. Why? A perfect lesson gives you an additional 5XP which helps you to earn more XP in less time.

7. Try to get a lower level

It may look meaningless, but actually, it works. In the first league, there are 29 other users. Even if you are not in the top 5, come at least in the top 20 users. It is the same for other leagues. If you think, you can not win it, just come at a lower level. However, make sure you are not getting the last position. It is because getting the last position will make you eliminated from the league.

8. Take advantage of free super trials

It is my favorite personal trick that I always prefer. Duolingo is a platform, that gives you a free super trial when you complete a specific streak requirement. I always wait for this reward. Before that I made all my lessons go legendary. When I get this reward, I take legendary levels. This trick helped me to get 90XP without using my gems.

9. Go back to your previous lessons

The best part of Duolingo is that I get rewards even for repeating the previous lessons. Yes, I am talking about getting XP. Taking up the previous lessons will give you some XP. Your old lessons and units are the best way to increase your XP points. Each of the old lessons and units can be refreshed by you 5 times.

Whenever you repeat the lesson, it will be harder than before and give you some of the XP points. However, there will be hints that you can always take up. As old lessons are the ones which you have already gone through, it will be easy for you to complete them. After that, you will get a legendary level for each unit which can be taken on Duolingo tree.

Once you get the legendary level, you will not get the hints. The only benefit of taking them is that you will get double the XP if you maintain the legendary level. Thus, taking up the legendary levels is a great way of earning more XP.

Duolingo league is a feature where you have to compete for a week with other people. There are ten different types of leagues in which you take part. Diamond League is the last league as well as the toughest one. To reach the Duolingo Diamond League, you must earn more XP and win all the other leagues. Of course, it is not easy, you must do a lot of hard work. To reduce some of your burden, I have discussed some ways, you can easily reach Diamond League.
