Don’t you have the curiosity to know how much you will get from a course on Duolingo? Well, I always do. Before taking any course, I always check how much content I will get from it. Trust me, you must also know it. As we are talking about Duolingo, you must know that how much content you will get depends upon the number of units in each lesson. Thus, you must look at the number of units, before.
Obviously, I have not learned all the languages on this platform. Thus, I know how many units are there in the languages I have learned. But this does not mean I can’t help you. Here, I have discussed how many units are there in each Duolingo language.
If you are on the old version of Duolingo, you will see that your course follows a particular path known as the Duolingo tree. When you go through the Duolingo tree, you must go through different Duolingo units. In the beginning, I was confused about what Duolingo units are. But with time, I know it well.
These units are the set of lessons in which you will get the knowledge of the language you are learning. There will be a lot of different units that will be focused on a specific skill. Your units are represented by different towers in a castle. Thus, if you are in the first unit you will see a single tower in the castle. Whereas if you are in 3rd or 4th unit you will see three or four towers in the castle.
Note: The Duolingo tree is completely gone from the platform.
What are the Duolingo units on Duolingo’s new learning path?
As Duolingo keeps bringing new updates, learning path was one of them. The tree was removed and all the courses follow a specific path. The lessons have become much shorter and clearer than the old version. Also, the lessons were in a more specific manner. The units have also become shorter than before. You will also find the stories under the units themselves.
How many Units are there in each Duolingo language?
The number of Duolingo units in a single language will depend on its popularity. It will also depend upon how much it has been developed on the platform. Number of units can be ranged from 7 to 230. The number of units is also divided based on different sections. Further, we have discussed the number of units for each language keeping the base language as English-

However, with the new learning path, these units have become shorter and are properly arranged. The Spanish course has the highest units which is 239 and Navajo has only 7 units. Also, the number of units for other languages is different, between 7 to 239.
